Can I store X-Rays/Dicom images in VetSCOPE?

Yes, Dicom images, x-rays, photos, movies and voice notes may all be stored within VetSCOPE.

Yes, most laptops have the capability to run VetSCOPE. A small practice with say, a sole practitioner can successfully manage the whole practice from the back of their vehicle using VetSCOPE software.

Can VetSCOPE be used for branch practice?

Yes, as VetSCOPE works over standard internet networking protocols it is possible to run the software in branch practice in a live situation. Broadband or other direct connection technologies are required for a live installation. If broadband is not available there are many other options for running branch practice using VetSCOPE.

Do you provide the hardware?

No, we generally don't provide hardware. This ensures that we can provide you with an unbiased opinion of the correct hardware to choose for your practice. If hardware is already in place it is likely that it is suitable. If purchasing new computers, we can refer you to a supplier, if you wish, or see our hardware specification. VetSCOPE has the added benefit of working on Windows PC's and Apple Mac.

Does VetSCOPE require a server?

VetSCOPE may be run from a server, however for up to nine users it is possible to run VetSCOPE in a peer to peer network. A peer to peer network means that all nine computers are fully functional and no server is required.

How can VetSCOPE save/make me money?

By charging correctly using the built in pricing and procedure system, to saving money by using cost efficient technologies such as SMS text and email there are many ways that VetSCOPE will increase profitability and save your practice money.

I am a sole practitioner, do I need to have VetSCOPE in the office as well as in my vehicle?

In most cases VetSCOPE can be run on a laptop and be used both on the road and in the office. In this situation only one VetSCOPE license is required. However if you require a second system for data entry by another member of staff this is also possible. Talk to us to find out the best solution for your requirements.

I currently have another system. Can my data be transferred?

Yes, we can extract data from almost any other system. Data transfer can usually be carried out on the day of installation thereby ensuring practice continuity and minimising workload. We have successfully transferred over 60 practices from other systems to VetSCOPE.

Is it REALLY easy to use?

Is the VetSCOPE Handheld waterproof and shock proof?

VetSCOPE Handheld is sealed against water and dust to IP54 standard. It will withstand 1.2 meter drop to concrete.

Is VetSCOPE compliant with the Department of Agriculture Legislation?

VetSCOPE is compliant with the Department of Agriculture legislation 2007 for the printing of prescriptions and the maintenance of a drugs register.

Our practice has small animals, large animal and equine. Will VetSCOPE work for me?

No matter what practice type or what percentage breakdown there is between each section of your practice, VetSCOPE will work and integrate your practice into one contiguous unit.

What accounts software do you recommend to work with VetSCOPE?

VetSCOPE does not require a separate accounts system as it has a specially designed accounts module built in. This integrated accounts module will save money in software cost, training and support. A fully integrated accounts module eliminates any potential differences that can occur between two different software systems.

Will VetSCOPE do my VAT?

Yes, VetSCOPE's integrated accounts module will calculate VAT on either Cash Receipt basis or Invoice basis. VAT can be calculated bi-monthly, quarterly and annually. The VetSCOPE VAT system is compatible with VAT systems in Ireland and the UK.

VetSCOPE software is installed in all practice types throughout Ireland, Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom.
